Research & Development
Georges Ferrando travels the world seeking new plant material sources that meet our quality, sustainability, and ethics criteria.
It is with a keen understanding of the importance of observing traditions and respecting nature that these sustainable supply chains are developed. The laboratory and purchasing department ensure transfer of our technological skills and the Albert Vieille quality charter to the local communities we work with.
Our Vallauris research laboratory, led by a doctor of chemistry and a chemical engineer, develops new products and improves existing processing methods to render them as environmentally friendly as possible (molecular distillation, CO₂ extraction, etc.). To continue to fully satisfy our clientele, we work intensively to make our aromatic raw materials easier for our clients to use in their formulas (color rectification and media preparation). We can also perform fractionation to give our aromatic raw materials greater concentrations of their most characteristic notes (for example, we offer Patchouli Coeur with a high concentration of patchoulol).
Our work in collaboration with research centers, such as the University of Nice-Sophia-Antipolis-LCMBA (BioActive Molecular Chemistry Laboratory), the Lyon CNRS central analysis department, and the INRA in Avignon continue to engender presentations at international scientific conferences and articles in scientific publications.
