A resinoid is a product obtained by volatile solvent extraction, using ethanol-type solvents, of a dry natural aromatic raw material. Resinoids are generally pasty products dark in color. Examples include resinoids of labdanum, benzoin, myrrh, Balsam of Peru, and styrax.
